PAT FLYNN
»the sounds of earth«

Opening: Saturday, 30 August 2008, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
on the occasion of Cologne Open 2008

Exhibition: 1 September - 10 October 2008

Pat Flynn (*1972) from Manchester questions with his digitally constructed photographs the photographic image itself. On first sight his works look like analogue photographs of our world, which shines beautifully. But on closer examination the politically charged pieces reveal a meticulously constructed digital simulacrum. Pat Flynn is the painter, sculptor and director of his virtual spaces, which he fills with digital ›film sets‹. The images are then presented as lambda prints behind plexiglass.
